A pitch gives someone enough understanding to decide whether a deeper conversation would be useful. Start with the essentials and make it easy to ask the next question.
Name the customer and the problem
“We help small retailers track stock without a complicated setup” is easier to understand than a string of broad claims. Explain whose problem you solve and why that problem matters.
Show what exists today
Separate what you have built from what you plan to build. A prototype, customer feedback or a first paying client can each tell a useful story when the stage of the business is clear.
Explain the evidence
Choose the signals most relevant to your venture. Include context and time periods for numbers. If an outcome is a target, call it a target.
Make a specific ask
Say whether you need customer introductions, technical guidance, a distribution partner or an investment conversation. Explain the next step you would like to take. Clarity helps the listener decide how they can contribute.
