Who we are
Digital Explore Conference (DEC) is the data controller for DEC Insider. We are based in Cotonou, Benin Republic, and operate the conference website at dec2026.com.
What we collect
For DEC Insider we collect your full name, primary email address, consent record, locale, and signup source. We do not sell personal information. We do not use this form to collect payment data.
Why we collect it
The lawful basis is consent. We use your details to confirm your subscription, send DEC Insider and conference updates, and honour unsubscribe or deletion requests.
How we protect it
Name and email are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Lookups use an HMAC-SHA-256 email hash. Tokens are stored only as SHA-256 hashes. Traffic is served over HTTPS with HSTS. Resend delivers transactional email over TLS.
Your rights
You can withdraw consent, export your data, or delete your account. These rights apply under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws. Use the data request form or the unsubscribe link in any DEC Insider email.
Retention
Confirmation links expire after 48 hours. After deletion we keep only a one-way email hash so we do not accidentally contact you again. Confirmed subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or delete your data.
